For Tourism Creation in Communities

The Center for Advanced Tourism Studies (CATS) was established as the first Japanese national university research institution focused on tourism. It aims to be a Center of Excellence in tourism studies in Japan. Our goal is to investigate and advise communities in tourism creation through responsible use of natural, cultural and human resources.
