北海道大学観光学高等研究センター、広島大学、Edith Cowan University (Austrailia)、金沢大学、間野山研究学会は、2024年1月19日（金）〜21日（日）、大和ミュージアム（呉市、広島県）にて国際シンポジウム（サミット）Popular Culture Tourism Stakeholders Summit in Japanを開催します。

《開催要領》
◆開催の趣旨
本サミットは、地方自治体、政策立案者、DMO、研究者、大衆文化のクリエイターやファン、文化・教育機関、観光関連企業などの民間セクターのステークホルダーが、自由に議論するためのユニークなプラットフォームを提供することを目的としています。大衆文化と観光をめぐる様々な問題・課題について、多様な立場・角度から意見を交換し、情報と実践経験を共有することで、持続的な大衆文化観光づくりの一助となることを目指します。
◆開催期間： 2024年1月19日（金）〜 21日（日）
◆会場： 大和ミュージアム４階（呉市、広島県）＊基調講演は３階
◆言語： 日本語／英語 ※逐次通訳対応 ※学術セッションは英語のみ

The Popular Culture Tourism Stakeholders Summit In Japan will be held from 19-21 January 2024.

The Center for Advanced Tourism Studies, Hokkaido University, Hiroshima University, Edith Cowan University (Australia), Kanazawa University and the Manoyama Research Society will hold a Popular Culture Tourism Stakeholders Summit in Japan from 19–21 January 2024 at the Yamato Museum (Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture).
This summit aims to provide a unique platform for open and interactive dialogue and discussion between policymakers, DMOs, academics, researchers, popular culture creators and fans, local communities, and representatives from regional and local governments, cultural and education institutions, and private sector groups, such as tourism companies. The goal of the summit is to bring together diverse voices regarding issues and/or problems in popular culture and tourism and enhance our current knowledge and practices. This can help all groups to overcome undesirable consequences.

Publication Opportunities: All submitted abstracts will follow a review process. In addition, selected papers from the conference will be considered for publication in special issues of the selected tourism and hospitality journals (SSCI).
